A brief overview of the Business Operations team
Not only can Beehive’s investors earn attractive returns, but they can also help contribute to the growth of UAE businesses and the local economy.
If you are looking for help to make the most of your Beehive account, our Investor Operations team are there for you. There are currently two members of the Investor Operations team, Jovee and Noora. They work closely with Business Development and Compliance teams for onboarding and activating investors’ accounts through KYC (Know Your Customer) checks. Let’s get to know a little bit more about them.
Hi team, can you tell us about your role and what you do to help investors?
Jovee: We belong to the Operations team focused on Investors. We are responsible for all investor onboarding and the collection of required identification documents for their account activation.
Noora: Our team helps customers understand the platform and is dedicated to assisting them with general matters. Peer to Peer (P2P) lending is still a relatively new concept, so the team makes sure businesses and investors understand the model.
Do you have any other responsibilities at Beehive?
Jovee: Yes. We also assist the compliance team by doing KYC checks on investors by verifying their identity, address, information about employment, financial status, and other demographic information. Investors must be compliant with KYC requirements before investing on the Beehive platform and ongoing KYC checks will be done to ensure their account information remains up to date.
Noora: Part of it is also making sure that the funds added by the investors on their Beehive account match the information from their nominated bank which is part of the Anti-money laundering (AML) procedures.
What is it about the role that you enjoy?
Jovee: For me, it is knowing and understanding the technology the Beehive platform uses and explaining it to the investors for their ease of use.
Noora: I like being able to see when my efforts make an impact. Helping investors and getting positive feedback gives me a sense of reward.
Noora, what customer service experiences give you the biggest satisfaction?
We often receive nice emails from investors, congratulating us for our help, and very quick and professional service. It’s always a nice surprise when they take the time to get in touch to say thank you.
It’s nice to be rewarded for your hard work! And what is your favorite part of working at Beehive?
Jovee: The Management team. They all are very grounded and are always willing to give guidance and help when we are struggling with certain issues. They are very approachable and treat everyone equally. Also, the company never fails to look after its employees’ needs, teaching them how they can be more productive and successful in each individual task.
Noora: The management’s open-door policy was a surprise as I had never experienced this before. I have enjoyed watching the company grow and make a positive impact on businesses in the UAE. Everybody works hard and takes their roles seriously. The atmosphere is friendly and positive too. We know how to have fun while working!
Awesome! Why did you decide to work at Beehive?
Noora: I was familiar with Beehive and I knew of the team and had heard good things, so I told myself I wanted to be a part of an innovative organization.
Jovee: Same with me! The fintech industry was very appealing to me and the technology it uses is just brilliant! I wanted to be a part of a team that is innovative and modern.
What is your go-to productivity trick?
Jovee: I never miss breakfast and I make a to-do list every morning to make sure I don’t miss any tasks, and I organize tasks depending on the urgency. I always keep music on which helps me maintain focus but not lose attention from my surroundings.
Noora: A strong morning coffee!
What do you enjoy outside of Beehive?
Noora: I enjoy cooking and watching National Geographic. I also like hiking during winter.
Jovee: I also love outdoors! I trek and I dive!
Sounds fun! Before we end, can you share any funny office stories?
Noora: Last year around September, Beehive held a Quiz Night. Jovee and I both walked away with the legendary wooden spoons for coming in the last placed team!
